New incentives rules for investors targeting investments in Czechia

Czechia changed since Jan 01 2022 some rules of Investment incentives. The basic changes are influenced by new regional map of public support. Maximal public aid was decreased for large firms in main parts of Pilsen region, main parts of Central Bohemia region, whole South Bohemia region, Vysocina region and whole South Moravian region. Large companies can obtain 20% only there. On the contrary, support was increased to 40% in the Karlovy Vary and Usti nad Labem regions and to 30% in the Liberec, Hradec Kralove, Pardubice, Olomouc, Zlín and Moravia-Silesia regions. The same level of public aid as in previous years is found in the districts of Plzen-sever, Tachov, Rakovnik, Kladno and Melnik – 25%. Regions with 20% and 25% support have other significant limitations. Large enterprises will receive support only for new economic activities. Investments in KETs (key technologies) are preferred. Projects with a high technological intensity, which are linked to the implementation of R&D activities in KETs areas, can be specially bonused with a direct financial injection of Czech government.
